Photography is capturing light. I spend my entire day, often without a camera, looking for beautiful light. I find it all day long. It's a lovely way to live.
The latest series of photos are built around the theme of being "Secretly Famous: The Stars of Mississippi Blues". Which, with a little help from my friends, we will transform into the most beautiful documentary film possible. I've got talented friends.
As of 2019, I am splitting my time between the Mississippi Delta and Fort Collins, CO. I love to swim in snow-fed rivers. If you have a project that centers around the cold, I am uniquely qualified to help.
I started as a painter and Caravaggio is lovely. My Dad showed me his paintings as a kid. Along with films like "Treasure of the Sierra Madre", "Casablanca", "Citizen Kane.", and my favorite of all time- "Big Trouble in Little China." To this day, Kurt Russell is welcome at any BBQ I'm at.
I use antique lenses with hand-ground glass. I value them because of their imperfections. Our quirks make us unique.

I perform Behind-the-scenes photos for films and bands, documentary photography for events, album art covers, and documentary films. Some folks like 'em. I hope you're one.
